Challenge: Triple Glazed U values were needed for some Schuco folding doors. However, the doors that the client selected were only able to take a 28mm unit.
Solution: To achieve the required thermal properties, CUIN Passive was used. This achieved a 0.5W/mK U value, whilst also ensuring the unit was no more than 28mm thick.
Project summary:
The Elmsbrook House project in High Wycombe faced the challenge of needing triple-glazed U values for Schuco folding doors, which could only accommodate a 28mm unit. To meet the necessary thermal properties, CUIN Passive glazing was utilized, achieving a U value of 0.5 W/m²K while maintaining the required thickness. This solution successfully met the thermal efficiency requirements without compromising the design specifications of the Schuco folding doors.
