Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is specially engineered for strength, safety, and long-term performance. It undergoes a precise thermal process where the glass is heated to around 620°C and then rapidly cooled using high-pressure air. This creates a compressed outer surface and a strong internal core, making it up to five times stronger than standard glass.
In the event of breakage, toughened glass shatters into small, blunt fragments rather than sharp shards, significantly reducing the risk of injury. This makes it an ideal choice for safety-critical and high-traffic areas such as doors, windows, partitions, balustrades, shower screens, and skylights. Its ability to withstand heavy impact and extreme temperature changes also makes it well-suited for both residential and commercial applications.
Whether used in modern interiors or large-scale architectural glazing, toughened glass delivers reliable protection, durability, and peace of mind.
