Why C.U.in
EXPLORE TYPES
You can explore from various types of C.U.in glass.
By improving the thermal insulation of your windows, C.U.in reduces the energy you use in your home. Not only does C.U.in reduce your energy demand lowering CO2 emissions, but C.U.in has a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional double and triple glazing.
C.U.in Eco is our eco-friendly glazing. The unique technology of C.U.in combined with argon gas injected into the cavities, gives all-round excellent performance, suitable for replacing the glazing in most existing window frames. C.U.in eco-friendly insulating glazing has all the benefits of reducing CO² emissions, heat loss and unwanted noise, with a typical 0.7 W/m²K U-value* which is lower than most triple-glazed units.
The benefit of our C.U.in glazing is the convenience of replacing the glazing only and fits in standard double-glazed frames, saving you the cost of having replace the entire frames without the requirements of triple-glazing to achieve low U-values.
C.U.in Passiv is our unique technology of achieving even lower U-Values compared to our Eco product. By upgrading to krypton cavity gas, C.U.in Passiv is the most thermally efficient glazing on the market today, with a typical 0.4 W/m2k U-value, maximizing CO² reduction and energy saving.
With C.U.in Passiv, you can save an average of £135 over uncoated double-glazing and £320 over single-glazing, whilst reducing heat loss, sound levels and CO² emissions over the lifespan of the glass. This will ensure your family and generations can benefit from the most thermally efficient glazing available today!
C.U.in Solar packs all the benefits of our Ultra option with added heat loss technology. This means you’ll use less energy to keep your home warm, whilst allowing comfortable levels of warmth to enter from natural daylight, whilst preventing overheating on sunny afternoons.
Naturally, homes with south-facing and west-facing rooms will receive a lot of sunlight. The problem occurs in homes with lots of glazing such as bi-fold or patio doors, which often overheat with the sun’s rays. However, our special coating is manufactured to give you better control of your room’s temperature for greater living comfort.
Come Winter, your home will retain maximum warmth without the need of constant heating from your radiators.
Our C.U.in Enhanced combines the benefit of our most thermally insulated unit, solar control whilst adding an additional lamination on your glazing for higher-security, protecting your home from break-ins and vandalism. The lamination makes the glass tougher to break, compared to unlaminated glass making you and your family feel safer in your home.
With our Enhanced option, it also further increases noise reduction, making your home a peaceful environment. If you happen to live on a main road or busy road, you can keep traffic noise, loud cars and other unwanted sounds out, perfect for a good night’s sleep!
TECHNOLOGY
The unique technology of C.U.in incorporates an invisible film between the two panes of a double glazed insulating glass unit.
The innovative C.U.in film splits the cavity into two chambers, which when combined with low emissivity coated thermal insulating glasses and filled with an inert gas, C.U.in achieves unparalleled thermal insulation compared to any standard double or triple glazed unit.
